Mel Gibson's lawyers claim they have evidence that the explicit, racist tapes Oksana Grigorieva secretly recorded earlier this year were tampered with and edited, which would make them inadmissible in court, Popeater.com reports.
To date, five tapes of Gibson screaming threats and obscenities at his ex have been released by RadarOnline.com. While there has been speculation about whether the tapes are real, RadarOnline.com is standing by its claims the tapes are authentic.
"Numerous top experts who have analyzed tapes for the FBI and CIA, confirm the authenticity of the tapes, as does Oksana's lawyer. Mel can't deny that he said these hateful words, had these brutal arguments and made these threats. The focus remains squarely on these horrible things Mel said and the only question is when will he take accountability for his words and actions?" RadarOnline.com's David Perel told PopEater.com in a statement.
Arlo E. West, president and CEO of Creative Forensic Services, INC., and one of the nation's leading certified forensic audio and video experts, tells PopEater.com that the Gibson tapes are altered copies. West, who has listened to all of the tapes, says there are gaps and fading - which are "red flags" that the recordings have been altered and therefore "cannot be considered accurate." He's also convinced Oksana had professional help to edit the tapes together from a string of conversations.
Lindsay Lohan, who was recently sentenced to a 90-day jail term by a Beverly Hills judge, has checked herself into Pickford Lofts, a Los Angeles sober-living facility.
PEOPLE reports that the actress, who is scheduled to begin serving her sentence Tuesday, entered the facility, founded by former O.J. Simpson defense lawyer Robert Shapiro, on Wednesday of this week, Popeater.com reports.
Shapiro has been active in the addiction community since his son Brent died of a drug overdose in 2005. He started The Brent Shapiro Foundation to promote alcohol and drug education and help individuals struggling with addiction get help.
Lohan, who was sentenced to jail for violating probation related to a DUI arrest, was reportedly visited the night before her arrival at Pickford by ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
Kelsey Grammer and his third wife, Camille Donatacci Grammer, pulled the plug on their 13-year marriage on July 1, Popeater.come reports. The only snag in finalizing the separation: the couple never signed a prenup when they married, TMZ.com reports. Grammer was reportedly earning $1.6 million per episode by the end of "Frasier's" 11-year run, and is thought to have a considerable fortune.
Grammer has filed court documents asking the judge to grant him sole financial interest in his television series, "Frasier." TMZ.com points out that the couple married in 1997, four years after the series launched, so his monetary earnings for the remaining seven seasons as well as residuals from syndication are up for grabs and will be considered community property.
In her divorce petition, Camille Donatacci Grammer cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, TMZ.com reports.
Donatacci, a 41-year-old former Playboy model and dancer, is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children, 9-year-old daughter Mason and 6-year-old son Jude. She married the "Frasier" actor in 1997, a year after they met at a party thrown by MTV.

A Pennsylvania state lawmaker is questioning the legality of work permits issued to Kate Gosselin's sextuplets for the reality show "Kate Plus 8," the Associated Press reports.
Rep. Thomas Murt says state law allows children under 7 to work in movies, but not television. Gosselin's sextuplets are 6.
Murt asked for an explanation in letters sent Tuesday to the state attorney general and labor secretary.
The Gosselins live in Wernersville, Pa. State labor officials said previously that TV producers should have obtained child work permits for the TLC show's predecessor, "Jon & Kate Plus 8." But no penalties were imposed.
Spokesmen for the attorney general's office and labor secretary did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
