Eat'n Park has introduced a new version of its classic "Place for Smiles" jingle, featuring the voice of country singer Sarah Marince, 17, of Moon.
The jingle is an update of the theme song that was written and recorded in the summer of 1991.
Kevin O'Connell, senior vice president, marketing, for Eat'n Park Restaurants, said the company wanted to reintroduce the jingle with a fresh, new sound.
"We loved Sarah's voice," he said in a news release. "I think it will make people smile when they hear it."
To celebrate the release, Eat'n Park is offering a downloadable MP3 version of the jingle and a free download of an original Sarah Marince song, "Just Look at Me," at www.eatnpark.com.
In 2006, Eat'n Park offered "American Idol" runner-up Katherine McPhee a contract to record the jingle, but decided this year to try a local approach.
